[taiyo-chinesehero] first test

thanks for the feedback, Britlion! (and thanks for all help you provided, actually!)

i was also concerned about the issues you mentioned

these threads are related to something that Boriel were interested as well, which is extending this amazing cross-compiler to other z80 machines, since we don’t have anything alike available for them, and ZXBasic-Compiler were showing extremely neat and extensible to target them - this experience is indeed really exciting, since not only makes this cross-compiler far more visible in the retro scene. as it shows how flexible, powerful and useful it is

my main concern was to host them where they don’t get the risk of getting lost, and people might get more curious about what they are - i was indexing them at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZX_BASIC:Released_Programs#OTHER_HARDWARE">http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php ... R_HARDWARE</a><!-- m --> , and it is base of a research indexed at ZXBasic wiki frontpage: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZXBasic">http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZXBasic</a><!-- m --> at <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php/ZX_BASIC:Other_architectures">http://www.boriel.com/wiki/en/index.php ... hitectures</a><!-- m -->

what i agree is that these posts might get better organized in a special area in this forum only related to "other hardware", and i strongly believe that these threads are not offtopic here in this forum at all, since they were all made from this cross-compiler

i think i actually asked Boriel about this issue, and until now i think it seems okay posting them here - but is always awesome seeing some contradictory viewpoint, a heads-up, that might help us to have better ideas of how can we get them better organized here

my main concern, from my part, was not to merely "show-off", it was more for helping people to figure out what is possible to do with this cross-compiler

(and yes, they are mostly tests and demos, but there is one snake game for the Pinball Action arcade machine, and all games i submitted to contests like MSXDev (both Karoshi and TNI) and SMSPower, were developed on ZX-Basic Compiler - my idea was spreading them on all retro-development contests based on z80 hardware, not only ZX-Spectrum)

(arcade machines are very interesting hardware to develop on, my concern is that i only covered less than 70, and those supported by MAME are over 300! Big Grin - and i want to code at least one game for each one of them! Big Grin )

(sorry if this situation appeared annoying for you or anyone else, i really had no idea at all of what else to do)
(i'll edit all posts by adding their equivalent wiki pages, so i humbly hope that will be explanatory enough)

and thanks a lot again for the feedback! and happy new year! \o/
