One immediate issue that comes to mind is that pasm allows "defs" and ZX Basic does not.

Easily converted into defb 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0..... though.

Well, maybe this should go to the wishlist.
However, you can use DEFM (define message) or DEFB (they're equivalent) with strings. So:
