Is there a way to force the player load last?

Hola Boriel!

Thanx for the plugin man, I just installed it and it works great.

I just have one question:

In my home page (http://www.danielgalindo.net) I use the player's button version (autostart ON) to play a single track while a slideshow is running. The thing is that, since there are several pictures loaded into the slideshow, when you visit my website for the first time, the music starts playing before the slideshow is finished loading.

Is there a way to force the player load last?

I have the player's code inserted into my index.php file as follows:

  Code:
<?php get_header('headersin'); ?>

<div id="feature" class="clearfix"></div>

<!--include footer-->
<?php get_footer(); ?>
<?php xspf_player::start(); ?>

Muchas gracias por tu ayuda, saludos desde México.

Re: Is there a way to force the player load last?

Hi Danielon,

First of all, congratulations for your page! Felicidades por tu página, me ha parecido increíble. Recuerda que este mismo foro tiene un área en Español para ayuda!.

Regarding your problem, I see it would be rather difficult to solve, since it seems not related to the plugin, but to the slideshow loading. I suggest you to delay the plugin load. I will try to find a solution and tell you as soon as possible.

Also two observations:

1) you should put the xspf_player code *before* the </body> tag (that is, before the footer).
2) the song stop after a while. Consider using auto repeat ON or adding more tracks

Regards,
Jose

Re: Is there a way to force the player load last?

Jose, thank you so much for taking the time to visit my website to check on the slideshow+player behavior. Y muchas gracias también por tus comentarios positivos sobre mi sitio, siempre me deja contento saber de gente a la que le gusta mi página y su contenido. :D

That is correct, the "problem" lies on how long it takes the slideshow to load and not the player itself, but I still wanted to ask if you knew a way to force the player to load last.

Delaying the plugin load might not be the best solution since the "problem" happens only when you visit my website for the very first time; by the second time your web browser loads the homepage, its cache has already saved the contents and the timing between slideshow and player is right on cue.

I'll give it a try, thanx.

Anyway, it will be awesome if you find a way to force the player to load last. If not, I can live with it. Being able to embed music into my Wordpress site through your plugin is more relevant than the timing issue.

Thank you very much for your help!

Saludos,
Daniel
