Any progress on this? Or adding SMS as a target to the main ZX Basic project?

Unfortunately not. But If would be very helpful to get some information about binaries format, for example, how to test the in an emulator, etc.

Don't know much myself. Is this the information we need?

http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3578
The SMS ROM files (.sms) are simply raw binary dumps of the ROM contents, so you should be able to burn them directly to EPROM as binaries (i.e. choose BINARY format on your programmer).

Kega Fusion is the emulator I use:

Hey very interesting resource thanks. 8)
It's very hard to find this kind of information, even with google (its scattered, mistranslated, sometimes unaccurate, etc). Nitrofurano has made an interesting compilation in the wiki, BTW.

thanks! :)
btw, perhaps, i think there would be more people that might want to help editing the wiki page (i think that even Jim Bagley tried to do that, or tried to contact you, about the PacMan or some z80-based arcade machines?)

To edit the wiki one has to register in the forum (the Wiki maps user/pass into the forum database) and then contact me so I can give him edit permissions.
