Do it yourself: Palm of paper

Pictures Tips & tricks

An acquaintance at work gave me this link, which details (video tutorial included) how to make your on paper-Palm. The poor man’s Palm. I certainly found it interesting, creative, and somewhat useful, so I tried to make my own (click on any photo to enlarge it).

…and that’s it! Have fun! :D

Madrid memories…

Pictures Travelling

These are some of the photos I took during my trip a Madrid. I’ve also made some panoramas, which I’ll put here soon. How nostalgic! :( I really enjoyed Madrid! :)

Regarding the last foto, the Spanish flag (you know we, the Spaniards are not very patriotic), what I really intended was to emphasize was the laaaarge size of it (its surface is larger than my flat :?). Unfortunately, you won’t really notice it in the picture (there’s no object for size reference).

If you want to see the panoramas, please, keep reading…

My own Vintage Computing theme

Computer Science Vintage computing

Well, I finally made it. I made my own really nostalgic wordpress theme about retrocomputing. In this case the look is a black background with simple foreground colors, based on the Sinclair ZX Spectrum microcomputer, which was commercialized in U.S.A., Argentina and other countries with another name.

It was my first computer. Unluckily I dind’t have it anymore (keyboard stopped working after 5 years of intensive use), but I do own another one, and also a ZX Spectrum +2A, which camed with an embedded Cassette (in my opinion, not a good idea) that my father bought me two years later.

20 years have passed… But it’s still alive.

CodeHighlight Fix

Wordpress Programming

For those using the fantastic CodeHighlight plugin, I’ve fixed it up to work with Wordpress 2.x and PHP listings.

To install the fix, just install the plugin as usual and then overwrite the file CodeHighlight.php with this one (download file).

Update: Forgot to mention this version inserts the CSS (Style Sheet) needed to format the code. You needn’t to modify your theme CSS.
