Xera is a group from Asturias, Spain, that has brought out some Free Music. In their web you can download the music (in Ogg and MP3 format) which has some Celtic and electronic arrangements. Mi favourite track is Dúrmite, that, if I am not wrong, is a lullaby (You can listen it here, in the player). The group does not has a complete album yet, but the current work done looks very promising.
I repeat, the music is Free. You can download it for free, and redistribute and copy it at no cost.

Many of us do know the Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable). It’s a somewhat pricey console (in Spain it cost about 240€), though it has incredible features. However, in the behind, other things are about to come, like XGP.
At Ounae (Gadgets blog, [Spanish only]) they briefly comment about it, and shows some very interesting pics about this device.
It looks similar to PSP, although its screen can stand vertically, like a little TFT monitor. On the other hand, it’s about 100€ cheaper thanb Sony’s, and its developing system is open. You don’t have to pay any royalty for developing software for this console, unlike its competitor.
These consoles are Linux-based, which widely open the development field (it could be used as a PDA, for example, o execute other non-gaming applications). Let’s see what happens in the near future: we already know not always the most sold is the best.
Currently is too early to comment it deeper, since it has not been released yet. These are most speculations. The original source, at gp2x-emulation.

At first, the movie didn’t catch my attention (didn’t watch the trailer, either). But, surprisingly to me, it resulted a great film:
Two siblings, the Grimm brothers travel along Europe during the XVII century, solving misteries and freeing villages inhabitants from enchantments. Actually they happen to be merely ruffians who trick everyone to earn some money by fooling people with their own superstitions.
On the other hand, the Napoleon’s army is having some resistence with a terrified village near a forest in Germany. The captaing, knowing they’re mere swindlers, force them to cooperate to solve the mistery of the missing girls.
Little spoiler… ▼
Some girls have already disappeared into the forest: a girl with a Little Red Riding Hood and also did Greta, Hansel’s sister. The film shows this little clues many times, that recalls us the Grimm brothers’ famous lore tales.
The film have good special effects, and some takes resembles some of the most known Grimm’s tales which make the movie entertaining. The ambience is perfect, and both the Grimm brothers characters (especially the one played by Matt Damon) and some others (like Monica Bellucci, also seen in Matrix Reloaded as Persefone) are really interesting and in some moments absolutely delightful.
Do not read this if you are going to watch this movie ▼
One of the brothers is absolutely skeptical while, on the other hand, the other (erudit especialized in legend and myths) believes that something strange and mystic might be happening in the forest. A ranger woman will guide them to the inner forest in which there is a clearing with a high abandoned ancient tower standing there.
Everything seems to point there actually is a mistery to solve and that same spell or enchantment cursed that place. Or perhaps it’s just the imagination and the darkness into the forest trying to fool one’s reason?
I won’t reveal anything else, because the films really worth to be watched.
I sincerely recommend to watch this film.

After a long waiting, Enya official web site has updated to get ready for her new album release, in which it’s supposed the polemic song Sumiregusa will be included.
This song was used for a commercial advertisement of a TV in Japan (I think). However, it was said this song was also an advance of her new album release almost finished. This was inmediately denied in the Enya’s site, even by Enya herself.
The web design has changed, and now shows new and interesting details for the unconditional fans. All in flash.
The map after the intros was the thing that really got my attention. It looks like a castle map, with some interesting rooms:
- The Music Room, where you can enter and listen some of her most known songs.
- At The Watch Tower you can watch this 4 video clips: May it be (included on The Lord of The Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack), Orinocco Flow, Caribbean Blue and Only Time
- At the Studio you will take a nice virtual visit. Have you seen the technology they use? Astonishing!!!
- And the most intriguing: A Secret Room, to which you can enter only after typing in the password. You have to guess the key from a riddle you will find in a book of the library
The album is planned to be released on November 21st, and will be entitled Amarantine.
Update! Album cover.

Today was the Annular Eclipse. Since I was at work, just had a little moment to watch it.
Here, in the Canaries, it was a partial one, and happened near 10:00 a.m., local time.
A friend of mine, Khertz could watch it for longer, and have posted interesting info about it (Spanish only).
Khertz is a member of the Urania Astronomical Assotiation of Tenerife. In that web, he’s published several pictures of the event. I encourage you have a look on them. They’re really nice.
During the event, in the Cosmos Museum of La Laguna, there was an online connection with a group of Valencia, where the phenomena could be seen in all it’s splendor (annular).
